Air Fryer Buffalo Cauliflower Wings are a delicious and healthier alternative to traditional chicken wings. This recipe is easy to follow and yields a crispy and flavorful appetizer.

Air Fryer Buffalo Cauliflower Wings

  • 1 medium-sized cauliflower, cut into bite-sized florets
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (or chickpea flour for a gluten-free option)
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Cooking spray or olive oil for the air fryer basket

For Buffalo Sauce:

  • 1/2 cup hot sauce (like Frank’s RedHot)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter (or vegan butter for a plant-based version)
  • 1 tablespoon white vinegar
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce (optional for added depth)

  1. Prepare the Cauliflower:
    • Wash and cut the cauliflower into bite-sized florets.
  1. Batter Mix:
    • In a mixing bowl, combine flour, water, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Whisk until you get a smooth, lump-free batter.
  1. Coat Cauliflower:
    • Dip each cauliflower floret into the batter, ensuring it’s evenly coated. Allow any excess batter to drip off.
  1. Air Fry:
    • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
    • Lightly grease the air fryer basket with cooking spray or a small amount of olive oil.
    • Place the battered cauliflower in the air fryer basket, leaving space between each piece to allow for even cooking.
  1. Cook:
    • Air fry for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket or flipping the cauliflower halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy.
  1. Prepare Buffalo Sauce:
    • While the cauliflower is cooking, make the Buffalo sauce. In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
    • Add hot sauce, white vinegar, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce (if using). Stir well until everything is combined and heated through.
  1. Toss in Buffalo Sauce:
    • Once the cauliflower is done, transfer it to a large mixing bowl.
    • Pour the Buffalo sauce over the cauliflower and toss until each piece is evenly coated.
  1. Serve:
    • Serve the Buffalo Cauliflower Wings with your favorite dipping sauce and celery sticks
