Maple Glazed Salmon

Ingredients:

  • 17oz salmon, cut into 4 or 5 fillets
  • salt + pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil, for cooking

For the glaze:

  • 1/3 cup real maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp dijon mustard
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 tbsp ponzu sauce
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil

Directions:

  1. Pat salmon dry and cut into fillets of around 3.5oz each. Top with salt and pepper.
  2. Preheat the oven to 375F.
  3. To a small bowl, add all the glaze ingredients and whisk together. Set aside.
  4. Over medium high heat, preheat an oven-safe pan with the oil and place the salmon skin side up in the pan and cook for about 1-2 minutes. Flip the salmon and cover liberally with the glaze.
  5. Place the pan in the preheated oven and cook salmon until medium, about 8 minutes.
  6. Remove from the oven and baste each fillet with the glaze a few times. Top with sesame seeds and green onion. Serve over rice and bok choy and enjoy!
